Month to Month baby growth

The second monthafter the birth is no less difficult for the baby than for the mother. The first weeks are a crucial period for both of them, as their unbreakable bonds have started to develop . But these bonds are not perfect yet. Mom can feel she cannot cope with her duties, especially if it’s her first-born or she doesn’t receive help from the spouse. At times the woman may get at a loss watching her infantcrying bitterly. Finding the reason can be a time-consuming activity. However, the second monthof life can be if not an entire pleasure, then at least a bearable stage of child development.

Emotional development

Most of the difficulties you meet at this time are connected with the physicalchild developmentand needs. But you have to take care of their emotions, too. Don’t get fooled by the idea that infants don’t understand words they are very sensitive to the slightest changes of your voice tone and other noises. On the other hand, child developmentduring thesecond monthassumes that the infant vocalizes smiles, their movements get less jerky and involuntary.
Let them watch bright colors and different shapes to develop their vision.

Why does theinfantcry so often?

Here are possible reasons:

Hunger. At first you might fail to understand when your baby is hungry, but soon you’ll learn to recognize it. Pay attention to the time of crying if it’s right after the feeding, this may have nothing to do with hunger. However, if you notice the correlation between feeding and crying, this could be allergy or another illness. Then you’d better visit your pediatrician.

How to cope:

feed them as much and as often as they want, and be ready for changes in their diet they’re growing, after all.

Month to Month baby growth
Colic. This is a sudden burst of crying of a healthy and well-fed baby that may last up to 2-3 hours, often accompanied by passing gas. The causes are not known, but it’s common for this child development stage . Do not think that your baby is too nervous etc. colic is not related to temperament at all. Usually this problem disappears during the third-fourth month of the infant’s life.

How to cope:

cuddle the baby. Don’t think you’ll spoil him 2 months is not enough to turn into a spoiled brat. During the first 6 months of lifechild developmentis essentially influenced by your touches and positive intonations. Besides, pressing against your warm body helps the baby pass the gas and relieve the pain.

Illness. The baby can catch a cold or some infectious disease.

How to cope:

If you notice that the crying infant looks not well, take their temperature and immediately call the doctor. Don’t try to diagnose or treat the baby on your own.

Hypersensitivity. It happens that the baby startles at the slightest noise or movement, even produced by himself. It doesn’t necessarily mean problems with child development, though may cause troubles in looking after such baby.

How to cope:

create the quietest environment for him, avoid loud noises, put him into a small cradle with walls for him to feel secure.

Tiredness.Yes, once in a while they get tired and start crying angrily in the evening. It occurs especially when theinfantdidn’t sleep for a long time, s/he was out of home for a while; or (grand) parents played too much with him/her. Crying is a kind of ‘blowing the steam’ for them.

How to cope:

put the baby in the bed and let them cry for a while (usually 10-15 min.) they will calm down and fall asleep after that. A quiet lullaby can be a good way to relax the baby.

Whatever the reason may be, do not worry too much cries will become less often in a month. Remember: during the 1st year of your infant’s life you should pay attention to 3 things:child development, your spouse and yourself.
